Hi my name is Jess Stephens. I am an Install Coordinator and Team Lead at Renew Digital.
Who is Jess?
As a project manager, I work with customers daily to prep their installation spaces to get things organized. I also work a great deal internally also doing organization on the back end, so it's very much a group project all the way through.
Now, who is the real, outside-the-dental-world Jess?
Outside Renew Digital, I am an avid movie watcher, so I consider myself a movie buff. Some of my favorite directors are probably Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, maybe a little Spike Lee. I'm a big fan of television shows as well, so I'm usually probably binging something on Netflix.
How did you land at Renew Digital?
I was found by a recruiter. I was eager to try something new and the recruiter thought my experiences lined up very well with the company. And I have to say it was a decision I am so glad I made to this day.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
People might be surprised to learn that I played violin for a number of years. I would say probably about six years starting in the sixth grade to this day I could still definitely play the violin. It's a four-string instrument so if you can play that you can definitely play the viola or the cello. I like to also play (and the ability to read music has also allowed me to learn) the piano.
What is your favorite thing about working for Renew Digital?
My favorite part about working at Renew Digital is definitely the people. The environment working, learning to work, for internal customers and external customers has been such a great experience. The dynamics that I've created between my co-workers and myself in the offices is something that I'm proud of.
Favorite guilty pleasure?
Probably going to be desserts. I'm a sweets person. You can probably find a lot of candy in my pantry and something I was not allowed to do too much as a kid, but you know when you're an adult the choice is yours.
How would your co-workers describe you?
I would hope it's that I'm dedicated to my job. I'm super helpful have to talk to a lot of people internally every day, so I like to think that my relationships, I've worked on them, and have been as helpful as I could over time.
Favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is probably the Bahamas, and if you go the cruise is the best way to go in my experience. You don't have to worry about travel and things but it was just a definitely a beautiful place and i'm definitely going again.
If you were not working at Renew, what would you be doing?
I think I'd be a Project Manager somewhere else. Probably being a Project Manager is such a fulfilling role for me so I'd like to think I'd just be applying those skills somewhere else.
Final thoughts?
