Finding the Carestream X-Ray That's Best for Your Practice

Carestream CBCT

Carestream Kodak dental X-ray machines have a reputation as some of the most affordable in the dental industry while still offering high image quality. The advanced imaging capability and simple, intuitive software make a great combination when it comes to obtaining clear and consistent extraoral imaging.

As an authorized reseller of refurbished dental X-ray equipment, Renew Digital offers several Carestream Kodak options for you to consider. No matter which unit you buy, you can depend on us to provide installation, training, a full parts and onsite labor warranty, and included CS imaging software.

Two-Dimensional Imaging Options

The Kodak 9000 Panorex, a previous generation model, is a standard panoramic X-ray machine that produces sharp, high-quality 2D panorex images. If desired, you can upgrade to a small field of view cone beam (3.75 x 5 cm) from the manufacturer. You also have the option of purchasing the unit with a cephalometric arm or upgrading to cephalometric imaging later.

The Carestream CS 8100 Panorex, a current generation model, is another option for 2D imaging. It is a small, compact unit that you can easily fit into tight spaces. Like the Kodak 9000 Panorex, you can upgrade to a small or medium field of view cone beam with this model as well as purchase a cephalometric arm or upgrade to cephalometric imaging later.

Three-Dimensional Imaging Options

Renew Digital offers a wide range of certified pre-owned 3D Carestream Kodak imaging products to meet the diagnostic and budgetary needs of just about any practice. These include:

  • Kodak 9000 3D Panorex and Cone Beam: A previous generation model still labeled with the Kodak brand, these units are typically more affordable than the newer Carestream-branded units since they’re a few years older. Prominent features include small field of view (3.75 x 5 cm) cone beam, very low radiation dose, built-in dedicated panoramic X-rays, and are ceph upgradeable. Thanks to its super high-resolution scan (up to 76 µm), the Kodak 9000 3D is an ideal unit for endodontics, localized oral surgeries, and single implant placements.
  • Carestream CS 9000 3D Panorex and Cone Beam: Like its predecessor, the Kodak 9000 3D Panorex and Cone Beam, the newer CS 9000 3D Panorex and Cone Beam system delivers high-resolution small field of view (3.75 x 5 cm) cone beam scans, dedicated panoramic X-rays and cephalometric upgradeability. The CS 9000 3D system, a perfect choice for general dentists, endodontists, and single implants, may be priced slightly higher due to its newer date of manufacture.
  • Carestream CS 8100 3D Panorex and Cone Beam: This current generation model offers a small or medium field of view cone beam up to 8 x 9 cm. Its dedicated panoramic X-ray mode along with high-definition CBCT (up to 75 µm) make it ideal for endodontics, oral surgery, implants, and general dentistry. You may purchase this unit with a cephalometric arm or upgrade with the manufacturer later.

  • Carestream CS 9300 Premium Panorex and Cone Beam: The versatile CS 9300 Premium Panorex and Cone Beam system delivers adjustable large field of view cone beam images from 5 x 5 cm up to 13.5 x 17 cm, perfect for sinus, TMJ, and maxillofacial issues. This current generation model features high-definition CBCT (up to 90 µm) and dedicated panoramic X-ray capabilities. The CS 9300 Premium is a good choice for a wide range of applications including orthodontics, implants, general dentistry, oral surgery, and more. Plus, it is fully ceph upgradeable.

  • Carestream CS 9300 Select Panorex and Cone Beam: This current generation model gives you the option of small (5 x 5 cm) to medium (10 x 10 cm) field of view cone beam and dedicated 2D panoramic imaging. It’s useful for general dentistry, oral surgery, implants, and related applications. This unit is high-definition (up to 90 µm), dedicated panoramic, and ceph upgradeable.
